Today, I was reminded of the need to pray for our students and of our shared humanity with all it’s frailty. Two of our ESL students at Agape Baptist Church are Buddhist monks from Thailand. Saen and Korn are biological brothers in their mid to late twenties. Last week they were informed that their mother was near death due to a heart condition. They flew home to see her one last time. However, before they arrived in Thailand their mother passed away. They accompanied their father to retrieve the body from the hospital. As they were following in the car behind their father, transporting the mother to the burial grounds, their father’s car crashed and he died there in front of them. Tragically, the funeral became a double cremation ceremony.
Please pray for Saen and Korn and their family and community. Pray for comfort in sorrow and for spiritual healing and enlightenment. May they hear the voice of the Savior in His people. May they have a safe return to Fort Worth.
“For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” James 4:14
